Xiaomi Redmi 9 Review
Redmi Note 9 Pro was first introduced by Xiaomi and next launched Redmi Note 9 Pro Max which was followed by Redmi Note 9 and the lineup was complete with the Redmi 9. The Redmi 9 is almost closer to the Redmi Note 9.
Though Xiaomi Redmi 9 has some flaws, it is one of the most affordable phones at this price. One can hardly find such an excellent phone at this price point. These are the best cheap camera phones right now. The Xiaomi Redmi 9 came with a Helio G80 chipset and came in two memory versions, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Design and Display
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 has a slightly curved glass back which gives a distinct look. The device is comfortable to hold and the side buttons and in-screen fingerprint sensor are low enough to be reach easily. The Redmi 9 comes in three colors-Carbon Ray, Sunset Purple, Ocean Green.
The display of the Xiaomi Redmi 9 is approximately average. It’s large and specious which has 6.53 inches IPS LCD FHD+ display with bleak colors, disappointing contrast and low brightness. The resolution of the display is 1080*2340 pixels. Pixel density is 395(pixels per inch) and the glass of display is Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Camera
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 has a quad camera setup at the back such as 13MP(wide), 8MP(ultrawide), 5MP(macro), 2MP depth sensor lenses. The Redmi has a waterdrop-style notch to house the 8MP selfie camera and rear fingerprint sensor sits right below the back camera sensors. The video quality of the device tops up at 1080p at 30fps.
Battery
The battery life of Xiaomi Redmi 9 is impressive. 5020mAh battery can ensure you that it will last for a long time leastwise two days long. However, in a device of Xiaomi Redmi 9 charging is pretty slow and a 18W charger included with the box that needs 2 hours 33 minutes, or 168 minutes to prepare the device with full charge.
Performance and Hardware
Xiaomi Redmi 9 is a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core chipset that offer better graphics performance for a smoother gaming experience but it lacks processing power. There would be no problem while using high graphics apps.
There is 4GB RAM that means one can keep more than a few running apps. There is also 64GB storage and a microSD card slot on board which is enough for shooting videos. However, this phone doesn’t come with any notification LED, which could be a disappointment for many users.
